Friends

This is Kevin Staab, I have known Kevin since 1980, we met at Del Mar Skate Ranch. This photo was taken a month ago and he is holding a shirt that has him ollieing on it. I shot the photo and I think I designed it in the early 80s.

"Look", a show by Grant Brittain and Josh Higgins at Subtext Gallery July 30th

"Look" is a show with my great friend and poster extraordinaire, Josh Higgins. It's happening this Friday night, July 30th at 6-10PM at Subtext Gallery in downtown San Diego. Along with Josh's music and charity posters, I will be showing portraits of skateboarders, both past and present work. All work will be for purchase along with a limited edition show poster and a few tees. The show runs through August 29th.
Adrian Demain will be taking us on a dreamy guitar voyage, so that's an added treat.
Oh yeah, appetizers by The Tractor Room and there will be some great beer, no friggin' PBR Grandpa beer!
Subtext Gallery is just south across the street from The Casbah at 2479 Kettner Blvd.

Jay Watson was kind enough to interview me last year

Jay Watson is a great photographer in his own right, he came by the Mag office and shot way too many photos of my ugly mug and he put together this interview.

After years of the old site, I have a new improved site. Thanks to Peter McBride for the old one and to Josh Higgins and Bruno for the new one.
We will get the bugs out along the way. http://www.jgrantbrittain.com/
